Job Overview Job Number: 1881717 Role Type: Individual Contributor Profession: Software Engineering Discipline: Software Engineering Employment Type: Full-Time Work Site: 3 days / week in-office Travel: 0–25% Location: India (Global Azure Team) As a Software Engineer in Azure Cosmos DB , you’ll work on distributed systems problems, develop large-scale operational databases, and build high-performance, globally distributed data solutions that empower customers worldwide. Key Responsibilities Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure data services for Azure Cosmos DB. Deliver well-tested, production-quality features across multiple platforms. Collaborate with global engineering teams to plan and execute development cycles. Participate in live-site support and ensure service health and uptime. Use engineering best practices for maintainable and efficient systems. Continuously identify and implement process improvements and innovations. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field OR equivalent experience. Experience in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. Hands-on experience with .NET Framework. Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud security screening requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing distributed cloud services on Azure or similar platforms. Knowledge of software testing, release processes, and methodologies. Strong analytical and design skills focused on large-scale systems. Understanding of cloud computing models and operational metrics. Familiarity with data warehousing principles and architecture.
