Role Overview As a Lead Data Scientist, you will evolve, build, and lead Kantar’s AI, Machine Learning, and advanced data science portfolio. This role provides the opportunity to lead high-impact AI-led initiatives and collaborate with the Chief AI Scientist and Executive Committee. You will contribute to R&D initiatives, prototype innovative solutions, scale them with engineering and product teams, and build data-driven products used globally. Responsibilities Lead AI/ML-based product and solution development across Kantar. Drive R&D efforts in AI, ML, Generative AI, and advanced data science techniques. Translate AI ideas into scalable commercial products. Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Operations, and Commercial teams. Manage cross-functional and cross-geography teams of data scientists. Represent Kantar’s AI and data science innovations across global teams. Qualifications, Experience & Skills Advanced degree or equivalent experience from reputed technical institutes. Strong foundation in supervised & unsupervised ML, with exposure to Generative AI. Background in mathematics, probability, analytics, and multivariate statistics. Experience leading AI/ML product development or solution delivery. Hands-on experience deploying applications on Azure/AWS/Google Cloud (serverless preferred). Proficiency in Python is mandatory. Ambitious, curious, entrepreneurial, and passionate about innovation. Desired Skills Experience working in Agile product development. Background in R&D or Product Development environments. Strong communication skills for technical and business audiences. Comfortable working with global, diverse teams. Tech-savvy with awareness of latest advancements in AI & ML.
