Red Hat Recruitment 2025 – Data Engineer Location: Pune, India | Department: Experience Engineering (XE) | Job Type: Full-Time About the Role: The Red Hat Experience Engineering (XE) team is hiring a skilled Data Engineer with excellent programming abilities and strong analytical skills. The selected candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage data created by the XE organization, making it accessible for business intelligence, planning, reporting, and AI initiatives. This role requires the ability to learn quickly, work independently in a fast-paced environment, and build solutions that transform large, complex datasets into actionable insights. Responsibilities: Work with stakeholders to turn business challenges into analytical projects and data-driven solutions. Collaborate cross-functionally on data migration, integration, and automation initiatives. Translate large volumes of raw, unstructured data into visual, user-friendly formats. Develop and maintain ELT (Extract–Load–Transform) data pipelines for predictive analytics and model deployment. Improve data reliability, performance, and governance through innovative tools and best practices. Create and manage user access controls and data governance frameworks. Identify and resolve data issues, ensuring alignment with Red Hat’s strategic objectives. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data quality validation skills. Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as pandas, pyspark, or pyarrow. Experience with SQL and cloud data warehousing (Starburst, Snowflake preferred). Knowledge of extracting unstructured data from REST APIs, NoSQL, or S3 storage. Hands-on experience with Linux system administration , shell scripting, and containerization. Version control expertise using Git (branching, merging, reviews). Familiarity with distributed computing (Dask, PySpark) and PaaS platforms (OpenShift, Airflow) is a plus. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience. Master’s degree holders with 1+ year of relevant work experience are also eligible.
