Role Overview We’re hiring an Application Security Engineer (Full-time, Technology Department, Pune). This role is critical to fortifying Verto's application security with penetration testing, automation, and embedding a security-first culture across teams. Key Responsibilities Conduct penetration testing for Web, API, and Mobile (iOS & Android) apps. Perform secure code reviews with a focus on Node.js applications. Automate security testing & integrate tools into CI/CD pipelines. Develop and implement best practices (OWASP Top 10, SANS 25). Monitor & strengthen AWS cloud security (auditing & penetration testing). Collaborate with dev teams on threat modeling & risk assessments. Create and maintain security incident response playbooks. Stay updated on emerging threats & introduce new methodologies. Requirements Proven penetration testing experience (Web, API, Mobile). Strong expertise with Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash). Hands-on experience in secure code reviews & remediation. Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, SANS 25, security frameworks. CI/CD security tool integration experience. AWS cloud security knowledge (IAM, auditing, monitoring). Agile & DevOps environment exposure with a security-first mindset. Preferred Skills Experience with Node.js code reviews. Certifications: OSCP, CISSP, CEH, AWS Security Specialty, DevSecOps. Familiarity with Terraform/Ansible (IaC tools).
